Kremlin Deems Ukraine's Full NATO Membership as 'Intolerable'

Moscow, Dec 3 (NationPress) The possibility of granting Ukraine full NATO membership is considered 'intolerable' by Russia, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Tuesday.
In response to media speculation regarding Ukraine's pursuit of complete membership assurances from NATO, Peskov remarked that such actions are 'in stark opposition' to Russia's viewpoint on the indivisibility of security, emphasizing that one nation's security should not compromise another's.
The spokesperson highlighted that this situation would be a 'menacing occurrence' for Russia and would not resolve the underlying issues of the existing conflicts, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
Earlier that day, the Ukrainian news source European Pravda revealed that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry communicated to the NATO foreign ministers' assembly that full NATO membership is the only genuine security assurance for Kiev and would act as a deterrent against 'further Russian aggression' towards Ukraine and other nations.
