Ukrainian Prime Minister Announces $100 Million Loan from South Korea

Seoul, Nov 30 (NationPress) Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that Ukraine has received a US$100 million loan from South Korea designated for bolstering the social sector.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Shmyhal noted that this loan is "the initial budgetary support" from South Korea aimed at enhancing the social sector, as reported by Yonhap news agency.
He further mentioned that Ukraine had also entered into an agreement with South Korea earlier this year, allowing access to up to $2.1 billion in funding.
Shmyhal expressed his appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Korea for their assistance to Ukraine amid ongoing conflict, referring to South Korea's official title.
In April, South Korea formalized a framework agreement with Ukraine to extend $2.1 billion in long-term, low-interest loans through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund.
