Gurugram, Jan 24 (NationPress) The police in Gurugram have apprehended two suspects for allegedly coercing the son of a Sub-Inspector to take his own life, as reported by authorities.

The suspects are identified as Rajkumar, who is the father-in-law of the deceased, and Rohit, the brother-in-law, both hailing from Hisar, and were taken into custody in Gurugram on Thursday.

The victim, Navdeep Singh, aged 35, was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances in the Ashok Vihar Phase-2 locality of Gurugram on Tuesday.

Navdeep's father, Krishna Kumar, serves at the Barwala police station.

He lived in his residence within the area, and his body was found in his room around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, as stated by the police.

During the interrogation, it was revealed that the suspects visited Navdeep's home in Ashok Vihar on Tuesday.

According to Sandeep Kumar, the spokesperson for Gurugram police, "The suspects physically assaulted the victim at his residence, and after a confrontation, they confined him within the room before departing. Subsequently, Navdeep took his own life by hanging himself with a bedsheet."

On Tuesday, police received reports of a man's murder by his in-laws in Ashok Vihar Phase-II, Gurugram.

Upon arrival, the police discovered Navdeep's body with a bedsheet around his neck.

There was blood seeping from his mouth and nose, and he bore injury marks on both hands.

The police team immediately summoned the crime scene, forensic science lab, and fingerprint experts to examine the area.

The deceased's father informed the police that Navdeep had constructed his own residence at house number E-22 Ashok Vihar Phase-II, Gurugram, where he lived with his wife Seema and their daughter.

He was employed at a private company in Gurugram.

Navdeep wed Seema in 2015, but they faced disputes, leading Seema to frequently involve her parents and brothers, who would come to argue with Navdeep and take her away, as reported by the victim's father.

The situation escalated when Navdeep's family was unable to reach him by phone.

Concerned, they called his cousin brother to check on him.

Upon visiting, the cousin discovered Navdeep's lifeless body with a bedsheet around his neck.

The police were notified, and a murder case was filed at the Sector-5 police station in Gurugram.

Subsequently, the police took appropriate measures, conducted a post-mortem examination through a medical board, and upon confirming the coercion leading to suicide, added Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita to the case while removing the murder charges, as stated by the police.
