Kochi, July 29 (NationPress) Expressing her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Aarti, whose 68-year-old father Ramachandran was tragically shot by a terrorist in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, conveyed her immense pride upon learning that the three terrorists involved in the heinous massacre of 26 individuals have been neutralized by the Indian security forces.
“Upon hearing that the three terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam massacre have been eliminated, I feel a deep sense of pride in being an Indian,” Aarti stated.
“While this won’t bring my father back, it clearly demonstrates the unwavering commitment of our leaders and security personnel. I truly feel proud to be an Indian,” she added.
When asked if she would cooperate with authorities as a witness to the tragic incident, Aarti responded, “I will definitely go and share everything I know.”
Aarti, who is a mother of twin boys and returned to India from the Middle East five years ago, described her father Ramachandran as an ardent supporter of the BJP.
He had previously run for local body elections and was considered a potential BJP candidate for the upcoming civic elections.
In emotionally charged television appearances, Aarti frequently relived the horrifying experience of witnessing her father being shot by a terrorist in front of her two children.
At the time, Aarti and her family were vacationing in Pahalgam when the tragic event occurred.
She recalled how the terrorist had placed something on her head, prompting her sons to cry out, which perhaps led the assailant to spare them.
The Pahalgam attack resulted in the deaths of 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national.
