New Delhi, Oct 13 (NationPress) The Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu has today launched a revolutionary program named 'Fare Se Fursat', an initiative by the government-backed regional airline, Alliance Air. This program is designed to liberate travelers from the anxiety of fluctuating airfare prices while promoting a more convenient flying experience throughout the nation.
With this scheme, Alliance Air will provide a uniform, fixed fare that stays the same regardless of when the ticket is booked, even on the day of travel.
This initiative will be trialed from October 13 to December 31, covering selected routes to assess its operational practicality and gather passenger feedback.
According to the minister, “The 'Fare Se Fursat' initiative aligns seamlessly with the fundamental goals of the UDAN scheme. Today, Alliance Air is advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to democratize aviation, making it accessible to the middle class, lower-middle class, and emerging middle class,” he noted.
This fixed fare approach alleviates the unpredictability and anxiety linked to changing airfare costs, ensuring that travelers can plan their finances better, even for last-minute trips.
“Since assuming my role in the Ministry, my emphasis has been on making aviation more user-friendly. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision under UDAN, we have also launched Udan Yatri Cafes at airports, where passengers can enjoy tea for Rs 10, coffee for Rs 20, and snacks for Rs 20,” Naidu stated, sharing his broader aim of creating a more passenger-focused aviation sector in India.
This initiative aims to make air travel both dignified and affordable. Now we are taking a further step in addressing the major concern of travelers—airfare,” he added.
Highlighting the regional carrier's role, Naidu characterized Alliance Air as the backbone of the government’s Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN, linking Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to the national aviation framework.
“Alliance Air has taken a remarkable step with the concept of One Route, One Fare. This reflects a ‘Naye Bharat ki Udaan’ mindset, prioritizing public service over mere profitability,” he asserted.
India's aviation sector predominantly relies on a dynamic pricing model, where ticket costs fluctuate in real-time based on demand, seasonality, and competition.
