Jaipur, July 17 (NationPress) Union Home and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah is set to officially inaugurate the Cooperative and Employment Festival taking place in Dadiya village, located in Rajasthan's Jaipur, this Thursday.
This significant event is organized as part of the International Cooperative Year, which the United Nations General Assembly has declared for 2025.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will also attend the program, marking Shah's official engagement as Union Minister for Cooperation, according to party workers who spoke with IANS.
The festival aligns with the Centre's comprehensive initiative, where 54 tasks related to cooperatives have been assigned to states. Rajasthan stands out as a pivotal state for hosting this event.
Previously, CM Sharma had formally invited Shah during a meeting in Delhi on May 29.
During the Cooperative Conference, Amit Shah will tour an exhibition featuring various cooperative products. He will also virtually launch 24 food grain storage facilities and 64 millets outlets, reflecting the government's focus on food security and sustainable agriculture.
The accompanying Employment Festival will see Shah distribute appointment letters to newly selected candidates for government positions, emphasizing the Centre's dedication to employment generation.
Prior to this high-profile event, Rajasthan's Cooperative Minister Gautam Kumar Dak inspected the venue on Tuesday to ensure all arrangements were in place. He conducted a thorough meeting with administrative, police, and departmental officials for effective coordination.
