Bhubaneswar, Feb 27 (NationPress) Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Odisha for a two-day engagement starting March 5.
An official announcement made on Friday indicated that a crucial preparatory meeting took place on Thursday, led by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, to discuss arrangements for the union minister's visit to the state.
Sources confirmed that HM Shah will touch down in Odisha on the evening of March 5, traveling via a special Indian Air Force flight from New Delhi.
On March 6, he will participate in the Foundation Day ceremony of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Mundali in the Cuttack district.
In the afternoon, he plans to visit Jatni in Khurda district to lay the foundation stone for the Bhubaneswar branches of the National Forensic Sciences University and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).
Additionally, he will virtually inaugurate the National Forensic Sciences University Transit Campus located in Bhubaneswar.
Later in the afternoon, the Union Minister will launch the ‘Naveen Nyaya Sanhita’ exhibition at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar. He is also expected to lay foundation stones and inaugurate various projects associated with the Cooperation Department and other state departments.
Given the Minister’s involvement in the CISF Foundation Day celebration, officials have been instructed to complete black-topping of roads from Godisahi to Mundali, as well as enhance street lighting, sanitation, cleanliness, and necessary beautification efforts.
During the preparatory meeting, officials meticulously reviewed the Union Minister’s itinerary, security protocols, traffic management, and other logistical aspects at the event venues.
The Chief Secretary urged all departments to ensure seamless coordination and full preparedness within the designated timeline to guarantee the smooth execution of the Home Minister's visit.
Additional Chief Secretary of Home, Industries, and Information & Public Relations Department, Hemant Sharma, provided updates on the preparatory measures being taken by the State Government.
