Amit Shah's Stark Warning to Trinamool: Justice Awaits in Bengal
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Kolkata, April 13 (NationPress) At an election rally on Monday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared that those who have exploited the citizens of West Bengal over the past 15 years will face consequences once the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) takes control following the Assembly elections.
“Individuals involved in corrupt practices through their ‘cut-money syndicates’ will be identified and dealt with decisively after the elections. Those responsible for harming BJP supporters or inflicting suffering upon them will also be pursued, regardless of their attempts to evade justice. Once the BJP assumes power, the criminal elements associated with the ‘aunt’ and her ‘nephew’ will be held accountable,” stated Shah during his speech in Khayrasole, situated in the Birbhum district.
He further remarked that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's aspirations to see her nephew and Trinamool Congress General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, become the next Chief Minister of West Bengal will remain unfulfilled.
“I wish to convey to the Chief Minister that her nephew will not ascend to the position of Chief Minister in West Bengal. A candidate from the BJP will occupy that role. This individual is a native of West Bengal and is fluent in Bengali,” asserted the Union Home Minister.
Additionally, Shah accused the Trinamool Congress and the Chief Minister of harboring illegal immigrants. “The Chief Minister has shielded illegal infiltrators for an extended period. Thus, our primary objective upon gaining power will be to identify and deport these illegal immigrants. The BJP is committed to liberating the nation from illegal infiltrators,” he emphasized.
Shah is scheduled to address another rally at Raniganj in the West Burdwan district later today, followed by a roadshow and an organizational meeting in the steel city of Durgapur within the same district.
