Amaravati, April 16 (NationPress) - The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has officially registered his personal information via the online portal as the self-enumeration initiative commenced in the state on Thursday, related to Census 2027.
The online enrollment process for the 'House Listing – Housing Census' has now begun.
The Chief Minister completed his registration on the website se.census.gov.in.
J. Nivas, the Director of Census for Andhra Pradesh, elaborated on the self-enumeration process, which includes a total of 33 questions, to the Chief Minister.
He informed him that citizens can personally register their household details online until April 30.
From May 1 to May 30, enumerators will carry out a physical enumeration process, visiting homes.
In response, Chief Minister Chandrababu underscored that the state government is dedicated to ensuring that welfare and development benefits reach all citizens uniformly throughout the state. He highlighted that formulating development plans centered around families as the fundamental unit is crucial, with the census being key to achieving this goal.
The Chief Minister remarked that this census initiative, being the first in Andhra Pradesh since the state's bifurcation, is more than just a data collection effort; it is a critical step towards establishing a solid foundation for future development.
He noted that the census will be conducted in two phases, with the first phase—house enumeration—having started today.
Data collection for the census will begin in the second phase, which is set to start next year.
The Chief Minister encouraged the public to take full advantage of the self-registration opportunity for the ongoing house listing and census programme, urging citizens to provide accurate information to aid the state's development.
