This significant initiative is set to transform the educational landscape in Assam.
During a visit to Palashbari High School in Guwahati, he officiated the launch of the school's redevelopment project, which will incorporate all contemporary learning amenities.
CM Sarma mentioned, "The state government is investing approximately Rs 5 to 7 crore in each school's transformation into a state-of-the-art institution, which I believe will energize the government schools statewide, leading to a fundamental change in the educational sector in Assam."

According to the CM, there is at least one university in each district that can be located by traversing the entire region of Assam.
"We have set up universities in Hojai, Nagon, Cachar, Bajali, and Lakhimpur - nearly every district is either completing or has a university under construction," he stated.
He also added that the government is committed to constructing a bridge over the Brahmaputra River in every district.
He declared, "In conjunction with the universities and medical colleges, we are building bridges over the Brahmaputra. No one could have anticipated that Assam would advance so rapidly. We are on the verge of becoming one of the developed states in the nation."
