Assam Government to Launch Online Employee Transfer Portal

Guwahati, Dec 31 (NationPress) The government of Assam is set to initiate a mutual transfer portal for its grade 3 and 4 employees, as stated by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday.
The portal named 'Swagata Satirtha' aims to revolutionize the transfer process for government employees within the state, replacing the outdated manual system.
This mutual transfer portal is scheduled to go live on January 1, 2025.
In a post on the social media platform X, CM Sarma expressed, "Tomorrow, January 1, 2025 will herald a new era in Employee Welfare. Addressing the long-standing requests of our State Government employees, we will inaugurate Swagata Satirtha, the mutual transfer portal for Grade III & Grade IV employees."
The Chief Minister highlighted that the government has been diligently working towards the comprehensive development of various communities within the state.
He mentioned, "The current government is committed to fostering all-around development for individuals from every section of society."
Additionally, CM Sarma noted that the state's 12-day development campaign, which concluded on Monday, is a strategic initiative aimed at assisting targeted populations through government interventions.
Throughout this campaign, CM Sarma and his Council of Ministers visited numerous districts and actively participated in various developmental activities.
He reported that during these 12 days, 20 lakh new ration cards were distributed, and 48,673 students received the Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Scholarship.
Since the launch of the Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Scholarship, over 1,09,000 students have benefited from the program.
According to the National Education Policy 2020, a high school should be established every five kilometers. In accordance with this guideline, the state government is providing bicycles to every student in class IX.
Emphasizing advancements in education, the Chief Minister stated that the state government allocates Rs 2,000 crore annually for student welfare.
He also remarked that if students embrace education as their profession, Assam will witness remarkable progress.
