Authorities to Announce New Dates for Postponed Bihar CHO Recruitment Exam

Patna, Dec 2 (NationPress) The Community Health Officer (CHO) examination, organized by the Bihar State Health Society, experienced a cancellation on Monday due to reported irregularities at multiple online exam centres.

The exam that was set to occur on Monday (December 2) has also been cancelled.

Authorities announced that the new dates for the recruitment examination, aimed at filling 4,500 CHO positions, will be revealed at a later time.

The Patna Police and Economic Offence Unit (EOU) discovered evidence of malpractice in several online centres, some of which were already under scrutiny.

These findings led to the cancellation of the exams on both days.

On December 1, a team from the Patna Police executed raids at 12 online centres simultaneously.

More than 12 individuals were apprehended from various centres, including those located in Ramakrishnanagar.

“We have conducted a raid at a centre within our jurisdiction following directives from the Economic Offence Unit (EOU). The exam was held on Sunday, but was ultimately cancelled,” stated an officer from the Ramakrishnanagar Police Station who chose to remain anonymous.

Following the police raids, two examination centres were sealed by the Patna police.

Speculation around the cancellation began circulating on Sunday evening, with confirmation arriving early on Monday.

The detained individuals are currently under interrogation.

Numerous items, including documents, were confiscated from the centres.

These items are currently being analyzed for further evidence of malpractice.

The police officer mentioned that their department had received information about malpractice two days prior, and audio clips along with WhatsApp chats related to irregularities in the CHO exam had gone viral.

In response, the Bihar State Health Society notified the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the EOU and initiated an investigation.

The EOU team, along with the Patna Police, intensified their raids on suspicious centres even before the scheduled exam on Sunday.

The Bihar State Health Society has confirmed that further investigations are ongoing, and measures will be implemented to ensure transparency and fairness in rescheduling the exam.

Candidates are encouraged to stay informed through official notifications regarding the announcement of the new exam dates.

Authorities are concentrating on uncovering the full extent of the malpractice and ensuring accountability.

The Bihar State Health Society has reaffirmed its commitment to conducting the exam in a fair and transparent manner.

Candidates are advised to await official announcements concerning the rescheduling of the examination.
