New Delhi, Oct 31 (NationPress) The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday presented a comprehensive manifesto, 'Sankalp Patra', for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, which includes a commitment to create one crore government jobs.
Released by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP chief J.P. Nadda in Patna earlier today, this manifesto arrives just days before the Phase 1 voting. Key NDA leaders, including Jitan Ram Manjhi, Chirag Paswan, and Upendra Kushwaha, were also in attendance.
This manifesto outlines major pledges to generate a crore government jobs in a state that has witnessed significant worker migration.
It emphasizes women empowerment initiatives, aiming to transform one crore women into 'lakhpati didis', enabling them to earn a lakh annually, alongside offering financial support of up to Rs 2 lakh.
Additionally, the manifesto highlights a substantial infrastructure drive, which includes plans for four international airports and new expressways.
Samrat Choudhary, the state Finance Minister, shared details about the manifesto, stating, “The NDA aims to provide one crore plus government jobs, conduct a skills census, promote skill-based employment, and position Bihar as a global learning hub with mega learning centers in every district.”
The most significant announcement focuses on employment opportunities, with a promise to perform a skill census to ensure that every youth in Bihar receives skill-based employment.
“We will position Bihar as a global skilling center with Mega Skill Centers in every district,” the manifesto asserts.
Through the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme, up to Rs 2 lakh will be allocated for women's financial assistance.
The manifesto also promises a Rs one lakh crore investment in agricultural infrastructure, the establishment of seven new expressways under the Bihar Gati Shakti initiative, metro services in four new cities, a mega skill center in each city, industries in every district, and the creation of 10 new business parks, defense corridors, and a semiconductor manufacturing park.
