Bagalkot (Karnataka), March 23 (NationPress) - The BJP's State President and MLA, B.Y. Vijayendra, conveyed his robust assurance on Monday that the party is poised to secure victories in the upcoming bye-elections in both Davanagere South and Bagalkot constituencies. "No one can halt the lotus from flourishing," he declared.
Vijayendra accused the Chief Minister and various Cabinet ministers of planning to establish a presence in Bagalkot, while in Davanagere South, ministers are purportedly set to deliver money "not in suitcases but in gunny bags" to sway voters.
He characterized the Karnataka government as "corrupt, anti-people, anti-poor, anti-farmer, anti-Dalit, and anti-youth," asserting that the populace has grown weary of its administration.
Despite being the ruling party, Vijayendra argued that the Congress would be unable to thwart the BJP's triumph in the two constituencies, irrespective of the "circus" it may orchestrate.
He expressed certainty that BJP candidate Veeranna Charantimath would prevail in Bagalkot and that the party would achieve a historic win in Davanagere South. However, he urged party members to avoid complacency and remain alert until the final moments of voting.
Vijayendra instructed his team to ensure voters are transported from their residences to polling stations, confident that such initiatives would lead to a decisive win for BJP candidates.
Reflecting on his recent visit, Vijayendra mentioned performing special prayers prior to departing from Bengaluru and seeking blessings from his father, former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa. He noted that Yediyurappa has consistently faced challenges throughout his political journey and expressed gratitude for his guidance.
He acknowledged existing internal conflicts within the party but reassured that leadership would address them. "All leaders will collaborate to secure the BJP's victory," he stated.
Reiterating his previous claims, Vijayendra emphasized that the BJP is set to win both bye-elections and that "no one can stop the lotus from flourishing." He further alleged that the Congress has resorted to conspiracies in the past during the Sira and K.R. Pete bypolls, urging party supporters to remain vigilant until the voting concludes.
