He asserted that the party will secure the positions of mayor, chairman, and all councillors, leading to the establishment of a triple-engine government in Haryana.
During a media interaction at the Gurugram BJP office, Barala criticized the Congress, claiming that the electorate has turned its back on them in these local elections and that the Congress party has effectively conceded defeat.
After the release of the candidates' list for the civic elections, Barala convened a meeting with party workers in Gurugram. He emphasized that the BJP aims to engage voters based on development and good governance, urging them to support the party.
Barala mentioned that the BJP's Sankalp Patra would be unveiled shortly, and candidate nominations for the Manesar Municipal Corporation area would follow soon.
He expressed optimism that, with public support and the dedication of party workers, the lotus symbol will flourish in all 36 wards of Gurugram, with the mayoral position also going to the BJP.
Further criticizing the Congress, Barala noted that, following the conclusion of the Assembly elections and the session, the party has yet to appoint a Leader of the Opposition.
He remarked on the Congress's lack of seriousness regarding the civic elections, stating, "We have secured the government for a third term in Haryana on various fronts, including good governance, equitable development, and transparency. In these civic elections, we will campaign on the basis of local ward issues and regional concerns," Barala stated.
BJP District President Kamal Yadav affirmed that the party has nominated dedicated workers for the civic elections.
"Our team of devoted and loyal members is prepared to ensure the lotus blooms in every ward. The public stands with us, so we anticipate no obstacles in the civic elections," he added.
In contrast, Seema Pahuja will represent the Congress for the mayoral candidacy in the Gurugram Municipal Corporation, while Neeraj Yadav will contest for the Manesar Municipal Corporation.
