New Delhi, May 3 (NationPress) - The President of Delhi BJP, Virendra Sachdeva, announced on Saturday that party lawmakers will initiate registration camps across their 48 constituencies and the remaining 22 areas for the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana Card, aimed at citizens aged 70 and above.
He emphasized that camps will also be set up in constituencies represented by MLAs from the Opposition Aam Aadmi Party.
Sachdeva extended his congratulations to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her cabinet for the commencement of registration for the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana Card, which is part of the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
The city BJP leader noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had declared free medical treatment for senior citizens aged over 70 nationwide, with registration in Delhi starting on Saturday.
He added that the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana Card will be accessible in all 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi. A total of 70 mobile vans will be deployed to these regions to facilitate doorstep registration and card issuance for the elderly.
The Delhi BJP President mentioned that party volunteers will also assist in this government initiative.
Sachdeva reiterated that even though Delhi is represented by 48 BJP MLAs, camps will be established in all 70 constituencies to guarantee the success of this initiative.
He asserted that the BJP government has consistently prioritized the welfare of the residents of Delhi, and through the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card, senior citizens will have access to free medical treatment.
He criticized the Arvind Kejriwal government, claiming it has neglected the needs of the elderly over the last 11 years.
While citizens across the country benefit from the Ayushman Bharat scheme, Kejriwal has, for political reasons, restricted Delhi residents from accessing many central government schemes. However, with the BJP now in power in Delhi, efforts are underway to ensure that residents benefit from all central government initiatives.
