Chennai, March 12 (NationPress) Tamilisai Soundararajan, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), expressed her gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday for facilitating the uninterrupted transit of Indian vessels through the strategic Strait of Hormuz. She emphasized that this initiative is crucial in averting potential fuel shortages within the nation.

While addressing the media in Chennai, Soundararajan reassured the public that fears regarding a lack of petrol, diesel, or gas would now be alleviated due to the proactive measures taken by the Central government to secure energy resources.

“First and foremost, we extend our thanks to our Prime Minister for ensuring that Indian ships can navigate through the Strait of Hormuz. Consequently, our issues concerning petrol, diesel, and gas shortages will be resolved. While the Central government works to mitigate these challenges, the state government seems to be exacerbating them,” she remarked.

The BJP leader further called upon the Tamil Nadu government to act with a sense of responsibility and eliminate any confusion among the populace.

“It is the responsibility of the state government to alleviate the misunderstandings that have arisen among the people,” she stated.

Soundararajan also took issue with comments made by Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, asserting that such predictions of public hardship could incite unnecessary fear.

“Can a leader (referring to Rahul Gandhi) claim that suffering is just beginning and incite panic among the populace by suggesting they are destined to endure hardship? Such statements are not reflective of a responsible opposition leader. I condemn this behavior strongly,” she asserted.

She further alleged that these remarks aimed to galvanize public sentiment against the Central government, a tactic she believes will ultimately fail.

“It appears there is an intention to provoke suffering among the populace and turn them away from the Central government, which will not occur. This mirrors the sentiment he propagated during the AI summit, where he incited Youth Congress activists to conduct a half-naked protest to tarnish the nation’s image. The Congress party will not gain traction from this type of propaganda,” Soundararajan declared.

In a related note, Indian Oil Corporation Limited reassured residents that the supply of petrol and diesel remains plentiful throughout Tamil Nadu, with operations at retail outlets continuing without interruption.

As per their statement, all petroleum terminals and distribution hubs in the state currently maintain sufficient stock levels to satisfy consumer demand, and fuel deliveries to petrol stations are proceeding as usual.
