BJP Legislator Blasts Congress for Collaborating with 'Anti-India' Forces

Kolkata, Dec 5 (NationPress) BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul vehemently criticized the Congress party on Thursday, alleging that it has been aligning with anti-India elements rather than championing the interests of the nation.
Her comments were made following Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar's appeal for solidarity in combating forces that threaten India's sovereignty.
While addressing the Rajya Sabha, Dhankhar remarked, "We cannot permit the largest democracy to be rendered dysfunctional by a deep state from anywhere else. This House must stand united in countering any harmful trends or initiatives that pose a danger to our sovereignty."
The BJP has expressed concerns regarding reports from the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and alleged foreign interference, accusing the Congress of having connections to these issues.
In response to these allegations, Paul endorsed Dhankhar's statements, asserting they were "entirely pertinent."
She accused the Congress of betraying the nation since its independence, specifically referencing the establishment of the Waqf Board.
"The nation was divided along religious lines with the formation of the Waqf Board. Muslims migrated to Pakistan, while Hindus and other communities remained. What was the necessity of the Waqf Board thereafter?" she questioned.
Paul condemned the Congress for purportedly misrepresenting historical accounts during its governance.
She claimed, "We were taught inaccurate history. Figures like Babur, Aurangzeb, and Shah Jahan were celebrated, while leaders such as Chandragupta Maurya, Shivaji, and Rani Padmini were overlooked. Even leaders like Syama Prasad Mookerjee were denied proper acknowledgment."
Paul accused Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi of associating with anti-India figures like US businessman and investor George Soros.
"They travel to America, speak out against India, and engage with individuals like George Soros to conduct anti-India activities. Rather than supporting India, they are actively undermining it," she alleged.
Shifting focus to the Opposition coalition INDIA, Paul claimed that leaders such as Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, Akhilesh Yadav, and Rahul Gandhi are attempting to gain power in 2024 but are now causing disruptions following their defeat in the Lok Sabha elections.
"They anticipated forming the government in 2024, but it would have been chaotic to witness their infighting for the Prime Minister's position. Now, realizing their chances are slim, they are once again creating disturbances in India," she asserted.
