BJP Nominee Submits Papers for Rajya Sabha By-Election in Haryana

Chandigarh, Dec 10 (NationPress) BJP nominee from Haryana, Rekha Sharma, submitted her nomination papers in the Assembly here for the Rajya Sabha by-election.
Present at the event were Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, state party President Mohan Lal Badoli, along with numerous Cabinet ministers and legislators.
Addressing the press, the Chief Minister remarked that the Rajya Sabha seat became vacant following Krishan Lal Panwar’s election as a legislator. “Now, Rekha Sharma has submitted her nomination for this Rajya Sabha seat,” he stated.
In his congratulations to Rekha Sharma, the Chief Minister noted that she “is a senior party leader who has been working diligently at the grassroots level to fortify the party for an extended period.” He also mentioned that Rekha Sharma previously held the position of Chairperson of the National Commission for Women.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for endorsing an active party worker for the Rajya Sabha.
He conveyed optimism that Rekha Sharma would represent Haryana effectively in the Rajya Sabha, significantly benefiting the state.
The Chief Minister underscored that the Prime Minister “is persistently engaged in empowering women through the introduction of new schemes and policies.”
He pointed out that just a day prior, the Prime Minister inaugurated the “Bima Sakhi” scheme in Panipat, aimed at empowering women by providing job opportunities and enhancing their strength and self-reliance.
He credited the BJP's robust backing from women to the Prime Minister's unwavering commitment to women empowerment.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the “double-engine” government in Haryana is implementing various schemes for women, including self-help groups, “Drone Didi,” “Lakhpati Didi,” and initiatives for women entrepreneurs.
Moreover, the Prime Minister’s Nari Shakti Vandan Bill, which ensures 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state Assemblies, aims to empower women and position them to play a pivotal role in the nation’s progress.
