Mumbai, July 30 (NationPress) Shiv Sena(UBT) claimed on Wednesday that the BJP has transformed Operation Sindoor into a political show, asserting that the Hindutva and patriotism espoused by the Bharatiya Janata Party are nothing more than deceit.
In the editorial of its publication 'Saamana', the party criticized the government for being 'ripped to pieces' in the Lok Sabha, adding that 'the Prime Minister was riding a camel and herding goats'.
The editorial sharply contended that while discussions regarding 'Operation Sindoor' unfolded in Parliament, reports surfaced about the elimination of three terrorists in the Kashmir Valley. 'It was claimed that one of them, Suleman, was the mastermind of the Pahalgam attack.' Can anyone believe this narrative now? The public has lost faith in the government. To evade the opposition's onslaught in Parliament regarding Operation Sindoor, the government resorts to fabricating cases like that of Suleman. The government has been unmasked in the Lok Sabha,” the editorial stated.
Referencing MIM founder Asaduddin Owaisi’s remarks during the debate, the editorial posed a poignant question: 'Can the government visit the families of the 26 victims from Pahalgam and assure them of retribution? Can we now enjoy an India-Pakistan cricket match?'
The Saamana editorial further expressed that PM Modi had cautioned Pakistanis that 'water and blood cannot coexist', yet, with the endorsement of Jai Shah, an India-Pakistan cricket match is indeed on the horizon. What does Amit Shah have to say about this?
Opposition members, including Gaurav Gogoi, Arvind Sawant, Supriya Sule, and Owaisi, raised significant concerns about the government’s failures related to security in Pahalgam and the outcomes of Operation Sindoor. However, according to the editorial, PM Modi preferred to remain in his chamber rather than confront the opposition’s accusations in the Lok Sabha.
'The Prime Minister expressed on social media that Rajnath Singh and Jaishankar delivered outstanding speeches. Have the BJP members and his cabinet run out of compliments for opposition leaders?' the editorial inquired.
'Today's Prime Minister cannot even match the stature and authority of former PM Pandit Nehru.' Amit Shah declared, 'We will sacrifice our lives for PoK.' Yogi Adityanath proclaimed, 'If Modi is re-elected, we will incorporate PoK into India within six months.' Conversely, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated in Parliament, 'Our intention was never to take control of PoK.' PM Modi characterized the Defence Minister's address as powerful. When the chance to annex PoK presented itself, those who claimed, 'We will die for PoK,' abandoned the battlefield to play cricket with Pakistan. This is treason, and such individuals deserve court-martial, said the Thackeray faction in Saamana.
The Thackeray faction asserted that notable military operations in India were conducted under names like 'Operation Vijay', 'Operation Parakram', 'Operation Polo', and 'Operation Blue Star'. However, emotional strategies like 'Operation Mahadev', 'Operation Sindoor', and 'Operation Ganga-Yamuna' commenced during PM Modi's administration, undermining the significance of our military’s capabilities. 'President Trump has stated, Five jets were downed in the India-Pakistan war.' Rajnath Singh failed to address this in Parliament, providing only vague responses,” the editorial noted.
The Thackeray faction lamented in the editorial, 'It is disheartening when many BJP supporters laud PM Modi’s military strategy. The same Prime Minister who compelled the Vice President of the nation to resign over ideological differences could not demand Amit Shah's resignation as Home Minister following the Pahalgam incident. History will remember that they all encountered difficulties during the discussion on Operation Sindoor.'
