Jaipur, Aug 5 (NationPress) Rajasthan BJP leader Madan Rathore has taken aim at Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, in the wake of the Supreme Court's recent comments regarding China. Rathore asserts that China seized Indian territory in 1962 during the tenure of the nation's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Rathore stated, "Rahul Gandhi's claims about China are unfounded and deceptive. It was not today that China encroached upon our land, but rather in 1962 under Nehru's guidance. Our military remains robust at the borders, yet Rahul Gandhi alleges that China has taken over 2,000 sq. km of our territory. Even the Supreme Court has questioned him for evidence of his claims."
He further remarked that while Indian forces bravely faced the Chinese in Galwan, Rahul Gandhi shocked many by stating in a press conference that the Indian army had "lost the war."
"Such assertions are both astonishing and disgraceful," he added.
Rathore emphasized that the repeated rebukes from the Supreme Court highlight a trend of Rahul Gandhi's making "irresponsible" and "factless anti-national" statements, particularly regarding the Indian Army.
He continued, "On critical national security matters, like surgical strikes, Rahul Gandhi has continuously doubted the motives and integrity of our armed forces. Following the military's assertive response to Pakistan, he and his associates also raised questions."
Rathore condemned Rahul Gandhi's remarks about Veer Savarkar, stating that referring to Savarkar's correspondence with the British as an apology is an affront to a revolutionary who endured the Kala Pani punishment three times.
"The language used, such as 'Your Obedient Servant', was standard formal etiquette of that period. Even Mahatma Gandhi employed similar phrases. Does that imply it was an apology?" he asked.
On the topic of Rahul Gandhi's comments concerning Prime Minister Modi's surname, Rathore described it as a calculated caste-based insult directed at the OBC community.
"This is why he had to apologize and is now facing legal consequences," he added.
Discussing Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Rathore lauded his administration as the most impactful to date, crediting him with making bold, historic choices, including the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, which fully integrated Jammu and Kashmir into India.
He also praised the Citizenship Amendment Act for granting citizenship to persecuted minorities from neighboring nations and the advocacy for a Uniform Civil Code, calling it a pivotal step towards justice and equality.
"Amit Shah's leadership is commendable today and will serve as a guiding example for future generations," Rathore concluded.
