BPSC Chairperson Engages with Bihar Governor Over Examination Dispute

Patna, Dec 30 (NationPress) BPSC Chairperson Ravi Manu Bhai Parmar had a meeting with Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Monday to address the persistent controversy related to the BPSC examination.
After the meeting, Parmar informed the Governor about the issue but chose not to engage with the media as he exited Raj Bhavan.
The BPSC has reaffirmed that the examination will not be canceled or re-administered.
Earlier that day, Member of Parliament Rajesh Ranjan, commonly known as Pappu Yadav, presented a memorandum to the Governor outlining the concerns of BPSC candidates. Subsequently, Chairman Parmar met with the Governor for approximately half an hour to provide further details about the situation.
Regarding the lathi-charge incident involving protesting students, Raj Bhavan has summoned the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and the District Magistrate (DM) for clarification.
Following his memorandum submission, MP Pappu Yadav disclosed that the Governor assured him of a discussion with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the matter.
In a pointed critique, Pappu Yadav indirectly labeled Prashant Kishor, the convener of Jan Suraaj, as a fraud.
Without directly naming him, Yadav alleged, “This individual does not represent Jan Suraaj but rather the Daulat Swaraj Party.”
He further accused Kishor of inciting unrest during the protests on Sunday. “If anyone is to blame for the turmoil, it is that leader. He orchestrated the chaos. He has misled the students and plotted to destabilize the movement. The students will never forget this, and he must be expelled from Bihar,” Yadav asserted.
In response to these claims, Prashant Kishor dismissed Yadav's comments, stating that he would refrain from responding to remarks from leaders like Pappu Yadav. “He is a notable leader, yet he comes to me for assistance. Now he’s engaging with the Governor—why not resolve the ongoing BPSC protest himself? He merely went to the hospital for a photo opportunity. Why isn't he taking accountability for the students’ care and medical costs?” Kishor retorted.
