The footage, allegedly provided by an observant passenger, reveals the child engaging in hazardous activities during the trip, leading authorities to release a public safety advisory.

The incident was highlighted when the official Maha Mumbai Metro account on the social platform X shared the video, urging parents to ensure their children adhere to safety regulations while using public transportation.

In the video, the child is seen dangling from a handle intended for standing passengers. Rather than utilizing it for stability, the child appears to be performing tricks while the train is operational. This behaviour raises serious concerns about the potential dangers, as it could jeopardize not only the child's safety but also that of other passengers aboard the coach.

Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd further communicated a reminder to parents, urging them to educate their children about appropriate conduct while traveling on public transport.

"Our vigilant passenger @varshasay sent us this video of a child engaging in unsafe stunts inside our metro. We appeal to all parents to dissuade their children from such play inside the metro. It poses risks not just for your kids but for other travelers as well. This behaviour is also a punishable offence. Remember, Maha Mumbai Metro is public property—teach your children to respect it," the advisory stated.

With the metro system in Mumbai experiencing an increase in daily riders, officials have consistently highlighted the necessity for passengers to strictly adhere to safety protocols within trains and stations.
