New Delhi, March 18 (NationPress) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House on Tuesday, presenting a bold plan aimed at converting Bastar from a Naxal-affected area into a flourishing industrial center.

The discussion also included the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Modi to Chhattisgarh on March 30, where he is anticipated to speak at a rally in Mohbhatta village near Bilha in the Bilaspur district and launch several vital development initiatives.

Preparations for this significant event are currently in full swing.

Sai emphasized the commitment of the state government to transform Bastar into an economic powerhouse, generating increased employment opportunities for the youth and uplifting tribal communities. The master plan presented by Sai prioritizes the enhancement of infrastructure, industries, and tourism in areas previously affected by Naxalism.

He pointed out the considerable progress made in the fight against Naxalism, attributing this success to the collaboration of security forces and community involvement. Sai remarked that development initiatives have reached former Naxal strongholds, fostering confidence in government policies and paving the way for advancement.

The Chief Minister also detailed Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy, which comprises strategies such as single-window clearance and tax incentives to attract investors. These initiatives have already piqued the interest of major corporations, improving the state's economic outlook. Discussions also included women empowerment and rural development.

Sai outlined programs designed to empower rural women through self-employment initiatives. The revitalization of women's self-help groups in Bastar is providing them with economic independence and job opportunities. Efforts to promote minor forest products, organic farming, handloom, bamboo industries, and handicrafts are rejuvenating the local economy, Sai informed the Prime Minister.

Moreover, women are being linked with startups and small enterprises to boost production and marketing, enabling them to contribute to the state's growth, he mentioned.

Prime Minister Modi conveyed his support for these initiatives, assuring the state of the central government’s complete cooperation in propelling Chhattisgarh’s development forward.
