Controversial Remarks: Karnataka Minister Shares Video, Plans to Complain to President and Prime Minister Against BJP MLC

Belagavi, Dec 23 (NationPress) Laxmi Hebbalkar, the women and child welfare minister, on Monday published a video featuring BJP MLC C.T. Ravi allegedly using offensive language towards her during a session of the Legislative Council, asserting that she will not forgive him for his actions.
While addressing the media in Belagavi, Minister Laxmi remarked, “I have requested a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will soon present my complaint to him.
“I will also meet with President Droupadi Murmu to present all relevant evidence regarding this matter,” she added.
“There is no possibility of forgiving C.T. Ravi. I will continue to advocate for justice until he is held accountable. The Chief Minister and the Chairman of the house must conduct a thorough investigation. The video needs to be analyzed by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL),” she insisted.
Criticizing the BJP MLC, she stated, “C.T. Ravi, you uttered that word. I am prepared to confront hundreds of individuals like you. I possess documentation to support my claims. You should feel ashamed. You allege that the police are planning to encounter you? If someone came to your hometown of Chikkamgaluru and used such derogatory language towards your wife, would you remain silent?”
“Not a single member of the BJP has offered an apology for this incident. Instead, they organize a procession in his support. Is that acceptable?” questioned Minister Laxmi.
“Don’t you have women and girls in your families? You have been moving around without any sense of guilt as if nothing has occurred. I will not remain silent. I am ready to engage in a legal battle,” asserted Minister Laxmi.
“I have made a request to meet with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the PMO. I will inform him of the situation. This is an attempt to tarnish my political career. You underestimate our resilience in the face of such incidents,” she emphasized.
“Everyone in the party supports me. Senior leader and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has reached out and spoken with me. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also contacted me over the last two days. The women of the state stand with me,” she further noted.
The controversy ignited last Thursday amid a heated debate in the Karnataka Legislative Council. C.T. Ravi allegedly labeled Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, as a “drug addict.”
This statement sparked strong backlash, leading Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar to describe Ravi as a “murderer.” In response, Ravi reportedly directed an obscene comment at Hebbalkar.
The alleged remark resulted in Ravi's arrest for using derogatory language against Hebbalkar. However, following a directive from the High Court, Ravi was released, escalating the political turmoil.
