Council Chairman Confirms No Evidence of Abusive Language by CT Ravi Against Karnataka Minister

Bengaluru, Dec 20 (NationPress) In a significant turn of events related to the claims regarding BJP MLC C. T. Ravi allegedly using an inappropriate term towards Karnataka Women and Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti disclosed on Friday that there exists no record of the offensive term being spoken in the council.
Addressing the press in Hubballi, Horatti noted that the term attributed to Ravi has not been documented in the council's proceedings.
Both C. T. Ravi and Minister Laxmi have filed complaints, and I have had discussions with them. Subsequently, a police complaint has been registered concerning this matter, he remarked.
Four Congress MLCs, including Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Nagaraj Yadav, Umashree, and another, have claimed to have heard C. T. Ravi using the inappropriate term against Minister Hebbalkar, Horatti stated.
In the meantime, Ravi, in his police complaint at the Khanapur police station, accused Dy CM D. K. Shivakumar, Minister Hebbalkar, MLC Channaraj Hattiholi, and others of attacking him at the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha with the intent to kill.
The group that assaulted me claimed they would send my body to my hometown Chikkamagaluru. Following the adjournment of the Council session, Minister Hebbalkar verbally assaulted me and my family and issued life threats, he stated.
Dy CM D.K. Shivakumar menaced me with hand gestures implying he would ensure my return from Belagavi would not be safe and remarked that it could be my final day alive, Ravi relayed to the police.
In a video message from the Khanapur police station, Ravi declared that should anything happen to him, the Congress government, Dy CM Shivakumar, and Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar should be held accountable.
Ravi further emphasized that he is not a terrorist but is being treated as one.
During a heated debate session earlier in the Council, chaos erupted as Ravi allegedly referred to Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi as a drug addict.
Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar responded to Ravi's remarks by labeling him a murderer. In retaliation, the BJP leader purportedly called the Minister a prostitute.
Ravi was apprehended on Thursday at the premises of the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi.
The BJP has organized a state-wide protest on Friday to denounce the incident. BJP State President B. Y. Vijayendra has arrived at the Belagavi District Court, where Ravi is expected to be presented before the judge.
