Controversy Erupts as Rohini Critiques Nitish Following DM's Alleged Assault on BPSC Candidate

Patna, Dec 14 (NationPress) Rohini Acharya has taken aim at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Patna District Magistrate (DM) Chandrashekhar Singh following an incident where the DM allegedly slapped a Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) candidate at an examination venue.

In a direct confrontation, Acharya shared her thoughts on her X account regarding the administrative practices under the Nitish Kumar government and the treatment of the state's youth.

“The actions of the Patna DM represent nothing short of hooliganism,” Acharya asserted.

She further remarked that “such conduct reflects negatively on the government’s capability to oversee its officials and uphold public order.”

By implicating Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the allowance of such misconduct, she highlighted the wider issues of alleged corruption, exam fraud, and the government’s ineffectiveness in confronting these problems adequately.

“The slap is not just an affront to the individual candidate, but to the youth of Bihar as a whole. CM Nitish Kumar must clarify under what authority the DM reportedly slapped that young individual,” Acharya stated.

Her social media commentary further escalates the disapproval, accusing the administration of resorting to physical force instead of tackling underlying systemic problems.

The uproar surrounding DM Singh's actions—specifically the incident involving the alleged slap of a BPSC candidate—has become a significant concern.

This incident unfolded at the Bapu Examination Centre in Patna, following the 70th Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination organized by the BPSC on Friday.

After candidates voiced their worries regarding exam irregularities, including claims of rigging and paper leaks, a protest broke out.

In reaction, Patna DM Singh appeared at the location and, in an attempt to restore calm, he reportedly slapped a protester.

In his defense, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh claimed his intention was never to inflict harm.

“The situation escalated due to the demonstration from BPSC candidates, who were obstructing the road and causing traffic disruptions,” Singh explained. He insisted that he employed “mild force” to disperse the crowd and restore order, stating that his actions were driven by the necessity to manage law and order.

Moreover, he mentioned that an examination center staff member suffered a heart attack, and another candidate fainted at the site. As the ambulance was caught in a traffic jam, he intended to clear the way for the victims.
