Bhopal, Jan 16 (NationPress) All members of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), former and current Chief Ministers, along with prominent leaders of the historic party, will take part in the 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim and Jai Samvidhan' initiative set to commence from Mhow, Madhya Pradesh on January 27.

The campaign will be inaugurated by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi at the birthplace of B. R. Ambedkar in Mhow, located approximately 25 km from Indore.

It’s worth noting that Mhow was officially designated as Ambedkar Nagar in 2003, in honor of the Constitution's architect, yet it remains widely recognized by its original name.

Jitu Patwari, the chief of the Madhya Pradesh Congress unit, informed the media that “alongside Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi, all CWC members, former and current Congress Chief Ministers, and senior leaders nationwide will converge at Mhow for the Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan yatra.”

Preparations for this significant political gathering are in full effect. Jitu Patwari, together with senior party leaders, has been visiting the Malwa-Nimar regions to galvanize local party members and generate enthusiasm.

Patwari mentioned that he, along with other senior Congress leaders in Madhya Pradesh, are committed to ensuring the event's success.

The party is holding meetings with local workers, particularly in the Malwa-Nimar regions. Recent meetings of the CWC members took place over three days at the party headquarters in Bhopal, and further discussions at the district and block levels will proceed until January 21, as shared by a senior party leader with IANS.

“With only 10 days left for the program, senior leaders are visiting various Assembly constituencies to urge the public to gather in Mhow on January 27. This is not merely a political gathering but a movement aimed at safeguarding Samvidhan, necessitating strong public participation,” Patwari stated during his visit to Ujjain on Thursday.

This event marks Congress's first major political initiative in Madhya Pradesh following a disappointing defeat in the state Assembly elections in November 2023, which led to the replacement of veteran leader Kamal Nath with Jitu Patwari as the new state unit chief.

Additionally, Congress faced a complete loss in all 29 Lok Sabha seats to the BJP in 2024. This will also be Congress's first significant event in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Jitu Patwari, who hails from Indore.
