Delhi BJP Criticizes AAP Minister Imran Hussain for Neglecting Constituency Development

New Delhi, Dec 27 (NationPress) The Delhi BJP has taken aim at AAP government Minister and Ballimaran Assembly legislator Imran Hussain for his negligence towards the development of his constituency and for attempting to mask his inaction by repairing street lights just prior to the elections.
Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor stated, “After a decade serving as an MLA, the fact that Minister Hussain is now concerned with installing new streetlights at ‘dark spots’ indicates that his time in office has yielded little development for Ballimaran. When a minister announces plans for 1,500 new streetlights after ten years, it highlights the considerable struggles the residents have faced during this time.”
He accused Hussain of favoritism toward specific groups within his constituency regarding the provision of electricity connections and their issues with inflated bills.
The advantages he mentions are primarily limited to select areas and communities, leaving many of the Hindu-majority streets in Ballimaran without adequate street lighting, remarked Kapoor.
The BJP spokesperson pointed out that numerous power consumers in regions like Basti Julahan, Basti Raghunath, and Ramnagar in the Quresh Nagar Ward are facing harassment from BSES due to recovery notices for bills from 8 to 10 years ago.
“In spite of this, Minister Imran Hussain has failed to resolve their issues. The BJP has noted over 100 instances of inflated bills being sent to struggling residents,” he added.
He further asserted that development benefits in the Ballimaran Assembly constituency are allocated based on the religious demographics of the areas.
In localities such as Naiwara, Charkhewalan, Mohalla Dassan, Haiderquli, Gali Batasha, and Naya Bans in the Ballimaran Municipal Ward, residents have been dealing with ongoing issues related to electricity, water, sewage, and streetlights for many years, turning these problems into a constant part of their lives.
Likewise, inhabitants of Ramnagar Ward and Quresh Nagar Ward, including Basti Harphool Singh, Basti Julahan, and communities like Gihara, Nayak, and Dhanak near Bara Tooti, are suffering from severe water shortages. Streetlights frequently go missing for extended periods, the sewage infrastructure is in disrepair, and securing or renewing social welfare pensions is an arduous task, he noted.
Conversely, regions such as Punjabi Mohalla, Ballimaran, Farashkhana, and the streets of Qureshnagar or Eidgah enjoy facilities akin to those of VIPs.
