Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Jan 31 (NationPress) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta criticized the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) administration on Saturday for their failure to address public concerns and revealed how the Arvind Kejriwal government focused on showcasing development solely through advertisements.
While inaugurating projects exceeding Rs 100 crore in Mehrauli, located in south Delhi, CM Gupta stated, “Some individuals merely illuminated Delhi through advertisements. The rich heritage of Mehrauli, its residents' needs, and their aspirations have been overlooked for years.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that the BJP government in the Capital is dedicated to effective governance and development, revitalizing the city from the stagnation imposed by the former AAP government.
In a social media message, she announced, “Today, we have inaugurated projects worth over Rs 135 crore aimed at improving the Mehrauli Assembly constituency. The vision of a developed Delhi can only be actualized through your neighborhoods, colonies, and enhanced Assembly areas, and Mehrauli is making significant strides.”
“While we honor the historic significance of Mehrauli, we are integrating it with contemporary amenities for the 21st century. We will preserve the heritage while empowering the future,” she added.
In a pointed yet implicit critique of the previous AAP government, she remarked, “Some merely illuminated Delhi through advertisements... Their political efforts were centered on power; ours is focused on service, effective governance, and development.”
Regarding the initiatives launched during the event, she highlighted that these projects represent concrete measures towards promoting cleanliness, enhancing infrastructure, and ensuring that citizens experience a more organized, secure, and dignified life.
Present at the inauguration were local MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, MLA Gajendra Singh Yadav, former Councillor Aarti Singh Yadav, zonal leaders of the area, and many community leaders.
