Delhi Minister Accuses Former AAP Government of Hindering Development
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, March 7 (NationPress) Criticizing the former AAP administration for hindering the city’s growth, Delhi's Education Minister Ashish Sood inaugurated development projects valued at Rs 1.60 crore in the C1A and C-2 Blocks of Janakpuri on Saturday.
Speaking to the community, Sood remarked that for over a decade, progress in Delhi was restricted to grand advertisements, misleading the public while the government misappropriated funds, causing the city to fall significantly behind in development.
The current administration is committed to reviving Viksit Delhi, he noted, emphasizing that residents of these blocks had long urged for improvements in sewer lines, water pipelines, road construction, and quality carpeting.
“Addressing these concerns was essential as the absence of development made life challenging for local residents,” he stated.
In the C1A Block, numerous crucial projects worth approximately Rs 86.37 lakh have been initiated, including the installation of sewer lines, construction of drains, roads, and dense carpeting. These initiatives aim to enhance the region's basic infrastructure and provide better amenities for the residents.
Similarly, in the C-2 Block, development initiatives worth around Rs 73.91 lakh have commenced. These projects encompass the installation of sewer lines from C2/116 to C2/230, the creation of interlocking tiled streets, and the development of back lanes using RMC, among other civic infrastructure improvements, as per the announcement.
Sood remarked that the Delhi government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, is dedicated to executing development initiatives throughout Delhi with vigor and commitment.
The objective is to fortify the basic infrastructure across all Assembly constituencies in the capital, enhancing the living standards of its citizens, he added.
He reassured the residents of both blocks that all the projects would be finished within the specified timeframe, allowing the community to enjoy these facilities promptly.
