In a shocking twist, one of the suspects apprehended had just been released from Tihar jail the previous day.
The two culprits have been identified as Mohd Taimur alias Saddam and Sameer Khan, both of whom possess a notorious background in criminal activities. The stolen mobile device was recovered from their possession.
The incident occurred in North Delhi's Sadar Bazar area on May 10, as Juvail Khan, a resident of Haryana, was en route to his friend's factory. While walking past a school on Idgah Road, he was approached from behind by two men on a motorcycle, who swiftly snatched his mobile phone before fleeing the scene.
Juvial Khan, 42, is employed in Saudi Arabia and is currently in India for personal matters.
Following the victim's complaint, the Sadar Bazar police station quickly assembled a team led by Sub-inspector Vijay Kumar, along with Head Constables Rohit and Ramesh, and Constable Ajay, under the guidance of Inspector Sahdev Singh Tomar.
