New Delhi, Nov 19 (NationPress) In a well-coordinated effort, the South-West District Police successfully resolved a robbery case in just 48 hours, apprehending two men who allegedly targeted a commuter in the Vasant Kunj region.

As per a press release from the district police on Wednesday, both suspects, aged 22 and residing in Mahipalpur, were identified through thorough analysis of CCTV footage and persistent fieldwork.

The incident unfolded on November 14 when a PCR call alerted the PS Vasant Kunj South about a robbery. Upon arrival, police found the complainant, identified as K.K. from Gurugram, who reported that two men had forcibly snatched his phone and coerced him into transferring Rs 1,500 from his account before fleeing.

An FIR No. 471/2025 was registered under applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and an investigation commenced swiftly.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, a specialized team led by Sub Inspector Ravi Malik, including Head Constable Naveen, HC Nemi Chand, Constable Harish, and Woman Constable Suman, was formed to locate the suspects. The team meticulously reviewed CCTV footage from several routes, including NH-48, Vasant Kunj Road, and Mahipalpur Road. Their diligent efforts led them to one of the suspects, Ashish, who was taken into custody.

During interrogation, Ashish admitted that he and his accomplice Abhishek Dixit, also known as Golu, committed the robbery. Following this revelation, another search operation led to Abhishek's arrest in a wooded area near Arjun Camp.

Both individuals were employed in hotels in Mahipalpur on a commission basis. Reports suggest that Ashish is a drug user, while Abhishek is illiterate.

The police successfully recovered the stolen iPhone SE along with the clothing the suspects wore during the crime. “Further investigation is ongoing,” stated the press release from Amit Goel, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South-West District.
