Mishra noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has articulated an ambitious vision for the “Concert Economy” and “Live Entertainment,” which Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is dedicated to advancing.

He underscored that this evolution requires collaboration with the industry, indicating that the signing of this MoU is a pivotal move in that direction.

Mishra further expressed that Delhi will now foster an environment suitable for hosting the world's largest events. He conveyed appreciation to Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and the Sports Authority of India for their assistance in alleviating challenges associated with venue rentals.

The media briefing was attended by Bansuri Swaraj, MP from the New Delhi constituency, along with senior officials from the ticketing platform, Delhi Police, representatives from EEMA (Event and Entertainment Management Association), and other dignitaries.

This collaboration signifies a historic advancement toward establishing Delhi as a premier global hub for live entertainment and concerts, according to Mishra.

He added that over the next two fiscal years, the objective is to contribute at least Rs 3,000 crore to Delhi’s economy through the Live Entertainment and Concert Economy.

“We will implement policy reforms, expedite environmental clearances, establish a Single Window Clearance, and abolish VIP culture,” he stated.

Mishra highlighted that Delhi is not just the political capital but also the epicenter of India’s culture, civilization, and history. The city reflects a vibrant fusion of global cultures, and the goal is to enhance, amplify, and celebrate this cultural mosaic.

The Minister urged the event industry, artists, designers, and planners to join this transformative journey.

He remarked that the visage of Developed India 2047 will be evident from Delhi, which will be at the forefront of this transition.

“The city is rapidly transforming, with new venues, modern infrastructure, and an attractive Riverfront that will redefine Delhi’s identity in the next two to three years. Under Chief Minister Gupta, the Delhi Government will provide unwavering support to the industry,” he affirmed.

Swaraj emphasized that Delhi is not merely the nation's capital but the heart of India, with the New Delhi constituency being its pulse.

She stressed that under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi is evolving into a hub of the “Concert Economy,” generating new opportunities for youth in employment, innovation, and creativity.
