New Delhi, July 2 (NationPress) Authorities have apprehended two women for allegedly robbing a young traveler in the Kamla Nagar district of Delhi, as reported by police on Wednesday.
The suspects are accused of stealing Rs 10,000 from the man after physically assaulting him with the aid of an unnamed male accomplice.
According to a press statement from the Delhi Police, the robbery incident was reported on June 30, when the victim filed a complaint at the Kamla Market police station.
The complainant mentioned that he was on his way back to his hometown when he was approached by a stranger who befriended him. The man then led him to G.B. Road, where he was attacked and robbed by two women.
“Following his account, an FIR was registered under FIR No. 227/2025, dated 30.06.2025, under Sections 309(4)/3(5) BNS at PS Kamla Market,” the police statement indicated.
Given the seriousness of the situation, a specialized team was formed under the guidance of the SHO of Kamla Market and the overall supervision of the ACP/Kamla Market. The team gathered local intelligence and conducted targeted investigations in the vicinity.
Utilizing both technical and manual resources, the team effectively located and arrested the two women involved in the crime. Upon further questioning, both suspects confessed to the robbery.
The authorities successfully recovered the full amount of stolen property from their possession.
Efforts are still ongoing to identify and apprehend the male accomplice who initially deceived the victim into the crime.

The two women have been identified as Roma and Sakeena. Roma, aged 58, resides in G.B. Road, Ajmeri Gate, Delhi, while Sakeena, who is 38 years old, also lives in the same area.
Among the two, Roma has a history of criminal activities, with eight previous cases registered against her at the Kamal Market police station. These include serious offenses such as murder, kidnapping, and violations under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (ITP Act).
