Mumbai/New Delhi, April 2 (NationPress) A two-judge Bench of the Bombay High Court on Wednesday instructed its registry to ensure that the plea submitted by the father of late celebrity manager Disha Salian, who is seeking a renewed investigation into his daughter's demise, is presented before an appropriate bench.
A bench composed of Justices Mohite-Dere and Neela K Gokhale issued this directive after the legal representative for Disha Salian's father, Satish Salian, requested that the writ petition be considered by a bench led by Justice Sarang V Kotwal.
“The petitioner states that the matter should be brought before a bench presided over by Justice Kotwal. The registry is to take necessary actions,” ordered the Justice Mohite-Dere-led Bench.
In his petition, Satish Salian called for a new investigation into the purported rape and murder of Disha, raising questions about several influential individuals.
Interestingly, five years prior, he had maintained that his daughter was neither raped nor murdered. When the media probed this, Satish Salian’s attorney, Nilesh Ojha, remarked, “The grieving father was influenced by certain political figures and the police who aimed to protect the son of a prominent politician.”
Nilesh Ojha had submitted a new FIR concerning Disha’s death case on March 25.
Ojha disclosed that a written complaint has been lodged with the Police Commissioner, naming Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, and Suraj Pancholi.
According to Ojha, “Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Suraj Pancholi, along with his bodyguard, Parambir Singh, Sachin Vaze, and Rhea Chakraborty are all implicated in the FIR.”
He alleged that Parambir Singh was the principal architect behind the cover-up regarding this case.
Ojha stated, “Parambir Singh held a press conference and fabricated falsehoods to exonerate Aaditya Thackeray. The NCB’s investigation indicates that Aaditya Thackeray was involved in drug dealings, a fact also referenced in the FIR.”
Ojha asserted that several senior police officials participated in the conspiracy by misusing police and governmental resources, fabricating police records, silencing witnesses, and attempting to conceal criminal evidence.
“I earnestly request that all these actions be prosecuted immediately under Sections 376(D), 302, 409, 120(B), 107, 109, 166, 167, and other relevant sections of the IPC, with stringent measures against the accused,” remarked Ojha.
Previously, the CBI had submitted a closure report in Disha Salian’s case, concluding that her death was a suicide rather than a murder.
The investigation uncovered no evidence connecting her death to Sushant Singh Rajput.
The report implies that personal and professional stressors, including financial difficulties and her father’s purported affair, may have led to her mental distress.
Despite various conspiracy theories, the CBI affirmed that there was no indication of foul play. Nonetheless, a new petition has been filed contesting these findings.
