Dr. Manmohan Singh: A Unique Leader Whose Actions Left a Lasting Impact, Says Gautam Adani

New Delhi, Dec 26 (NationPress) Gautam Adani, the Chairman of Adani Group, on Thursday conveyed his heartfelt condolences regarding the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, highlighting that he was a unique leader who communicated with humility yet achieved significant progress through his deeds.
Dr. Singh, a distinguished economist and the architect of India's economic reforms, departed at the age of 92. He had been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) due to a decline in his health.
“I am profoundly saddened by the loss of Dr. Manmohan Singh. His essential contributions during the transformative 1991 reforms will be remembered in history as a turning point for India, opening the nation to global opportunities,” Gautam Adani mentioned on X.
He further remarked that Dr. Singh was “a unique leader who communicated softly but accomplished significant progress through his actions.”
“Dr. Singh's journey serves as a masterclass in leadership, humility, and dedication to the nation, inspiring future generations,” added the Chairman of Adani Group.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, confirmed the news of Dr. Singh's passing.
“With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, aged 92. He was undergoing treatment for age-related health issues and experienced a sudden loss of consciousness at home on December 26. Immediate resuscitative measures were initiated at home. He was transported to the medical emergency at AIIMS, but despite all efforts, he could not be revived and was pronounced dead at 9:51 p.m.,” the hospital stated.
Dr. Singh, who held the Prime Ministerial office from 2004 to 2014, was celebrated for his transformative impact on India's economy during a crucial phase of liberalization.
