Five-Year-Old Aryan Stuck in Borewell in Dausa, Rajasthan: Ongoing Rescue Operations

Jaipur, Dec 11 (NationPress) A five-year-old boy named Aryan has been stuck in a borewell located in Kalikhad village, Dausa district, Rajasthan since December 9. Despite relentless rescue operations continuing into Wednesday, he has yet to be rescued.

The extended situation has increased the worry among Aryan's family and local officials.

Aryan has been trapped in the borewell without any food or water since around 3 p.m. on Monday. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), along with local authorities, are working diligently to save him. Officials are hopeful that Aryan may be rescued by evening.

Aryan’s mother, Guddi Devi, is in a state of distress, and the family has not eaten since the incident occurred. The child fell into a 175-foot-deep open borewell adjacent to his home while playing with his mother. Rescue operations commenced immediately after officials arrived at the scene. District Collector Devendra Yadav is closely monitoring the rescue efforts.

Initially, rescue teams tried to retrieve Aryan by digging about 20 feet away from the borewell. Attempts to use an L-shaped hook for extraction also did not work. Even makeshift methods known as "desi jugaad" proved ineffective. However, the team successfully prevented Aryan from falling deeper into the borewell by placing an umbrella beneath him.

With the earlier strategies failing, authorities have implemented a Plan B. A piling machine from Sawai Madhopur is currently being utilized to excavate a 4-foot-wide pit approximately 4-5 feet from the borewell. Once the pit reaches a depth of 150 feet, NDRF personnel will construct a horizontal tunnel to access Aryan and rescue him. Officials are optimistic about the success of this plan.

NDRF personnel report that the piling machine is operating at a pace of 20 feet per hour. The entire excavation process is expected to take around 7-8 hours, after which the rescue team will descend into the pit to complete the tunnel. Despite numerous challenges, both the NDRF and SDRF teams are resolute in their mission to safely bring Aryan out.

The entire village is anxiously awaiting a positive resolution.
