New Delhi, Sep 1 (NationPress) As the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi is set to wrap up his two-week ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday launched a fierce critique, claiming that Tejashwi Yadav and the Congress MP are using this Yatra to assist the Rohingyas and Bangladeshis.
In an interview with IANS, Giriraj Singh stated, “Do Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav really think they can insult the people of Bihar and still expect their votes? They invited Revanth Reddy, who has constantly demeaned Biharis, and M.K. Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, known for his anti-Hindu remarks. They have all belittled the people of Bihar. Do they truly believe that Bihar will continue to support them? Even Prime Minister Modi was insulted during the Yatra. Tejashwi and Rahul Gandhi were merely there to assist the Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. Their rallies predominantly attracted Muslims.
Furthermore, the Union Minister asserted that the government will not waver on issues of national security or electoral integrity.
“We will conduct DNA tests on every Rohingya and Bangladeshi, including those who arrived in 1971, and expel them. The Opposition is unsettled because, during the SIR process, we identified and removed illegal voters. Now they want to reinstate these intruders,” Singh remarked.
Singh commended Prime Minister Modi for his strong position at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in China, where Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was present. With world leaders observing, PM Modi addressed the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, labeling it “an assault on India’s soul and a challenge to humanity.”
Giriraj Singh emphasized, “There cannot be a more significant victory for Indian diplomacy than this. We have never compromised—whether regarding US tariffs or purchasing oil from Russia. India has acted in its national interest. Today’s SCO resolution condemning Pakistan for the Pahalgam attack validates India’s rising influence. While the Congress may feel uneasy, the fact remains that India is triumphing diplomatically. The Congress has gained from China through NGOs, yet their discomfort is palpable as the world aligns with India.”
Meanwhile, in his speech to the SCO leaders in Tianjin, Prime Minister Modi highlighted India’s vision for the regional group, focusing on three pillars: Security, Connectivity, and Opportunity.
“In the past 24 years, the SCO has significantly contributed to uniting the extended Eurasian family. As a vital member, India has always made positive contributions. Our strategy is rooted in three pillars—S for Security, C for Connectivity, and O for Opportunity,” the Prime Minister stated.
Emphasizing the threat of terrorism to development, PM Modi remarked, “Security, peace, and stability are fundamental for every nation’s advancement. Terrorism, separatism, and extremism present the most significant challenges. No nation is immune to terrorism, which is why India has always stressed the importance of collective unity. The SCO’s Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) has been crucial in this context. Leading the Joint Information Operations, India has taken initiatives to combat Al-Qaeda and other terror groups.
