Gujarat Achieves Milestone with Over 100K MSME Certifications, Says Deputy CM

Gandhinagar, Feb 23 (NationPress) In a remarkable achievement, Gujarat has successfully certified over 100,135 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), a milestone celebrated by the state government, as stated by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi during a session of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly on Monday.
While participating in the Motion of Thanks regarding the Governor’s address during the Assembly's eighth session, Sanghavi noted that this record-breaking certification, attained on February 19, showcases the state’s unwavering commitment to industrial growth and entrepreneurship.
He also highlighted that Gujarat has been recognized as a “Best Performer” in the national startup rankings for the fifth consecutive time, reinforcing its reputation in enterprise development.
“The Governor’s address is not just a formality but a vital document that reflects our dedication to constructing a developed India through a progressive Gujarat,” Sanghavi remarked, characterizing it as “Gujarat’s reflection of the past and blueprint for the future”.
Emphasizing employment generation along with MSME growth, he revealed that the government has introduced a 10-year recruitment plan aimed at filling over two lakh government positions from 2024 to 2033.
By December 2025, a total of 72,128 young individuals had found employment through 1,268 recruitment fairs organized across the state.
Regarding welfare initiatives, Sanghavi mentioned that the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana is providing free food grains to 3.18 crore beneficiaries from 75 lakh families.
“The One Nation One Ration Card scheme allows beneficiaries to access subsidized food grains anywhere across the nation,” he noted.
Additionally, he stated that over 10 lakh permanent houses have been constructed in Gujarat, with a goal of adding 3.15 lakh more this year.
In the healthcare sector, 2.72 crore citizens are covered under the Ayushman Bharat–MA card program, which entitles them to cashless treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh.
Touching on agricultural advancements, Sanghavi noted that the state has transitioned from “tanker raj” to “Narmada raj”.
He explained, “Under the Kisan Suryoday Yojana, farmers receive daytime electricity supply, and the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi funds are directly deposited into the accounts of 60 lakh farmers.”
Furthermore, a relief package of Rs 11,000 crore has been announced to assist farmers affected by natural disasters.
Criticizing the opposition's tactics, he asserted that while they rely on “politics of protest”, the government is committed to “politics of development”, affirming that Gujarat’s development trajectory will continue under the motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”.
