Kharagpur, April 4 (NationPress) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in a roadshow with prominent BJP campaigners for the West Bengal Assembly elections, criticizing the Mamata Banerjee administration for its inability to curb violence against women.
"It is essential to eliminate the politics of fear, corruption, and violence in West Bengal, paving the way for a government focused on development and trust under Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Gupta stated while advocating for the party’s Kharagpur candidate Dilip Ghosh.
She expressed her disappointment over the ongoing violence against women in Bengal, despite having a female Chief Minister. "Women in Bengal have been denied their rights and dignity. However, this time, the voters are determined to reclaim their right to a respectful life by electing the BJP to power," she emphasized.
Holding the BJP's symbol, the lotus, Gupta declared, "The voters of Bengal have made their choice: ‘Ab ki baar Modi sarkar, aur Didi Bahar’ (This time, it’s Modi’s government, and Didi will be sent home)."
Beginning the roadshow in Kharagpur, Gupta sought blessings for the party candidate. "We are launching our campaign from the Ram Temple, and with Goddess Durga's blessings, we will be victorious," she remarked from her campaign rath.
When asked about the Delhi government’s crackdown on illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, Gupta replied, "The issue of illegal immigration is a national security concern, not confined to West Bengal."
She affirmed this issue impacts the rights of West Bengal's residents. "Those who have trespassed upon the rights and resources of Bengal's citizens will face consequences," she stated.
Previously, Gupta campaigned for BJP candidates in Kerala. "The current situation in Kerala results from years of ineffective governance, resulting in a heavy debt burden on every family," she noted.
"Kerala requires a new direction focused on service, good governance, and development. I urge everyone to join this mission of creating a developed Kerala," she added during her campaign in Alappuzha.
