Gurugram, March 6 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, urged the trainee officers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to commit to fulfilling their duties with impartiality and fearlessness.
He emphasized the importance of always being prepared to uphold the law and the Constitution, protect the rights of the citizens with sensitivity, and firmly adhere to the principles of truth, honesty, and dedication, regardless of the circumstances.
The Chief Minister made these remarks as the chief guest at the passing out parade ceremony for the 55th batch of directly appointed Gazetted Officers of the CRPF in Gurugram on Thursday.
A total of 39 trainee officers, including 2 women, graduated from the CRPF academy after completing a demanding training program. He expressed confidence that these 39 trainees would fulfill their responsibilities with utmost honesty and dedication, thereby contributing to the integrity, unity, and sovereignty of the nation in keeping with the proud legacy of the CRPF.
Commending the CRPF for its vital role in the country's internal security, the Chief Minister referred to the force as the backbone of national security. He praised the CRPF for integrating modern technologies and training methodologies that are crucial for developing professional and capable officers ready to face any challenges.
The Chief Minister further inspired the newly qualified officers to commit to lifelong learning, underscoring that ongoing education and re-learning are vital for success. He noted that the CRPF is advancing towards modernization and empowerment, ensuring that the force remains equipped to address evolving security threats.
While congratulating the trainee officers, their families, and the entire CRPF, the Chief Minister expressed his confidence that these officers would make meaningful contributions to the country’s internal security and nation-building.
Saini also acknowledged the historic decision made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allow women in the Armed Forces, recognizing the potential of half the nation's population. He thanked the Prime Minister for this initiative, which has facilitated the recruitment of numerous women into the Armed Forces.
The Haryana government has also promoted women's participation in the police force, with women currently comprising 10% of the state police. The state government aims to elevate this figure to 15% in the near future.
Emphasizing the Haryana government's dedication to fortifying security forces, the Chief Minister mentioned that special attention is being given to technical enhancements, resource upgrades, and the expansion of training facilities to better equip the police force for any challenges.
Additionally, the state has established a dedicated Sainik and Ardh-Sainik Welfare Department to assist ex-servicemen and paramilitary forces.
In the event of martyrdom, families of Haryana soldiers serving in the armed forces and paramilitary forces receive financial assistance of Rs 1 crore, along with a government job for one family member. To date, 415 dependents have been provided with jobs.
