Chandigarh, March 24 (NationPress) The Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs in Haryana, Rajesh Nagar, has provided reassurance to the public that there is a steady supply of domestic LPG in the state, urging residents not to feel alarmed.
He noted that any discrepancies or irregularities concerning LPG are promptly addressed. The current status of LPG cylinders in Haryana remains stable, allowing citizens to feel confident.
The minister stated that the government is taking stringent measures against black marketing and the improper usage of LPG cylinders. To date, eight FIRs have been filed, with 52 individuals identified and 825 cylinders confiscated.
He reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards black marketing and the misuse of LPG resources.
Furthermore, he confirmed that the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG is functioning normally throughout the state.
He cautioned that those who spread false information, particularly in light of rising tensions in the Middle East, will face severe repercussions.
A departmental spokesperson indicated that out of the seized 825 domestic LPG cylinders, 131 were confiscated in Jhajjar, 109 in Mahendragarh, 86 in Ambala, 21 in Bhiwani, 2 in Faridabad, 71 in Fatehabad, 75 in Gurugram, 39 in Hisar, 17 in Jind, 10 in Kaithal, 44 in Karnal, 21 in Kurukshetra, 16 in Nuh, 23 in Panipat, 21 in Rewari, 98 in Rohtak, 12 in Sirsa, 12 in Sonipat, and 17 in Yamunanagar.
In addition, seven FIRs were lodged in Faridabad and one in Sonipat, with three vehicles also being detained during the operations.
The spokesperson elaborated that in the past six days, oil marketing companies have delivered 61,034 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders, and the current inventory at bottling facilities is at 982,212 domestic cylinders.
Regarding commercial LPG, he mentioned that over the last 25 days, 848 19-kg commercial cylinders have been supplied, with a current stock of 179,566 cylinders at bottling plants.
The department confirmed that the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG across Haryana is operating smoothly, with major oil firms—Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)—possessing adequate stock levels.
