New Delhi, Feb 3 (NationPress) Prominent industrialists have embraced the landmark trade agreement between India and the US, asserting that the slashed 18 percent tariffs will bolster the strategic and economic connections between these two significant nations.

Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of Mahindra Group, remarked on X, “More evidence of the advantages of ‘Making haste slowly.’”

“When the noise calms, two natural partners will unite,” he added.

Kumar Mangalam Birla, the head of Aditya Birla Group, expressed his appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump regarding today’s trade declaration.

“The lowered tariffs will enhance the strategic and economic relationship between our two great countries and create further opportunities for investment and collaboration. We are dedicated to increasing our footprint and investments in the US, where we identify considerable prospects for innovation, growth, and lasting partnerships,” he stated.

In addition, Ashishkumar Chauhan, Managing Director and CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), characterized it as a “significant victory for businesses, supply chains, and the partnership between the two nations.”

Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that ‘Made in India’ products will now benefit from a reduced tariff of 18 percent, as US President Donald Trump confirmed that India and the United States have reached a trade deal. “When two large economies and the world’s largest democracies collaborate, it benefits our populations and unlocks vast opportunities for mutually advantageous cooperation.
