New Delhi, May 11 (NationPress) Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat praised the Indian Armed Forces on Sunday for their valorous and effective actions against Pakistan, asserting that the country’s military strength has once again received global acknowledgment.
In a media briefing, Shekhawat remarked, "Last night, it was reported that Pakistan once again breached the ceasefire agreement. In alignment with the hopes of over 1.4 billion citizens, the Indian military has shown remarkable bravery and valor in its missions, leading to a renewed global recognition of India's military prowess."
Addressing the recent escalation and 'Operation Sindoor', he characterized Pakistan's "intentional" provocations amidst already strained border conditions as intolerable. He reaffirmed India’s steadfast resolve to combat terrorism.
"In light of the border circumstances and following 'Operation Sindoor', Pakistan once again engaged in hostile actions. Our commitment to dismantling terrorism has been distinctly showcased over the past few days. India has effectively validated its position on the global platform," he stated.
The Minister also disclosed that Pakistan's infrastructure has incurred substantial damage as a result of India’s decisive counteractions.
"Yesterday, an understanding was reached between India and Pakistan for a ceasefire. However, fresh reports last night indicated another violation from Pakistan, which triggered an appropriate response from India," he remarked.
Having previously served in border areas, Shekhawat mentioned that he held review meetings at district headquarters to evaluate preparedness and enhance cooperation among civil and defense infrastructure.
"My work has long been intertwined with border regions. In the current scenario of increased tension, we meticulously revisited all protocols, assessed readiness at district headquarters, and communicated with members of the Seema Jan Kalyan Samiti and other organizations. We have also interacted with the community to lift their spirits," he explained.
Stressing the strategic significance of Jodhpur, he noted, "The city is home to AIIMS, a major Army Base Hospital, a prominent Railway Hospital, and essential civil infrastructure. Coordination among these entities is vital at this juncture. We have allocated responsibilities based on the strengths and specializations of each institution to ensure preparedness and mitigate any panic if necessary."
The Union Minister expressed his confidence in the might of the Indian Army. "I firmly believe that Pakistan has already been compelled to bow before India’s military power. While I do not foresee further escalation, we must stay ready for any eventuality," he asserted.
