President Stubb arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday for a three-day official visit to India, extended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
His stay will continue until March 7, accompanied by a high-profile delegation, including Ministers, senior officials, and notable business leaders.
During this visit, he is set to participate in the 11th edition of the Raisina Dialogue, taking place from March 5 to 7 in New Delhi, where he will act as the Chief Guest and deliver the keynote address.
This visit marks President Stubb's inaugural trip to India since he took office.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reported that discussions between Prime Minister Modi and President Stubb will cover a broad range of topics aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation across various sectors. They are also likely to exchange perspectives on regional and global issues of mutual interest, including collaboration in international forums. The Prime Minister will host a lunch in honor of the visiting leader.
During his visit, President Stubb will also meet with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan.
After concluding his engagements in the nation's capital, President Stubb will head to Mumbai, where he will meet Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
In Mumbai, he will engage with Indian business leaders and participate in an India-Finland business event. He is also expected to address students at the University of Mumbai.
The MEA highlighted that India and Finland share warm, amicable, and multifaceted relations rooted in common democratic values. Finland is acknowledged as a crucial partner for India within the European Union and the Nordic region.
The visit of President Stubb, following the recent visit of Finnish Prime Minister H.E. Petteri Orpo to India for the AI Impact Summit in February 2026, underscores the mutual commitment of both countries to enhance bilateral collaboration across diverse sectors and to strengthen people-to-people connections, as noted by the Ministry.
