Srinagar, Oct 9 (NationPress) A significant reorganization was executed on Thursday within the J&K Police, involving the appointment of a Special Director General to the position of Commandant General for Home Guards, Civil Defence, and SDRF, alongside the transfer of 20 Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and SPs from their current roles.
As per the directive from the J&K home department, sanctioned by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, Abdul Ghani Mir, IPS (AGMUT:1994), who was awaiting posting, will take on the role of Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence, SDRF, J&K, thus relieving Alok Kumar, IPS, of his additional responsibilities.
Mohd. Yaseen Kichloo, IPS (AGMUT:2013), previously SSP CICE Jammu, is now appointed as Principal STC Talwara, succeeding Mohd. Arif Rishu.
Shobhit Saxena, IPS (AGMUT:2015), SSP Kathua, has been reassigned to SSP Security, J&K, filling an available position.
