J&K: Police Seizes Property Linked to Four Terrorists Killed in Kulgam

Srinagar, Dec 13 (NationPress) The J&K Police took action on Friday by seizing a single-storey house and 10 Marlas of land owned by Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, located in Chenigam Frisal village of Kulgam district.

This property was confiscated in the presence of an executive magistrate, as per section 25 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

The operation is linked to FIR number 53/2024 registered at the Yaripora police station. According to police reports, four terrorists were eliminated during an encounter with security forces in this house on July 6, 2024, where they had taken refuge.

The police indicated that further measures will be implemented against individuals who provide shelter to terrorists.

J&K Police have initiated a robust campaign targeting terrorists, their over-ground workers (OGWs), and sympathizers.

J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has led high-level security review meetings, issuing explicit directives to security forces to dismantle the terror ecosystem.

Intelligence agencies suspect that following the successful participation of peaceful voters in the Lok Sabha and legislative assembly elections in J&K, terrorist handlers from across the border grew impatient and instructed terrorists to launch attacks against the army, security forces, police, and civilians.

On October 20, two terrorists opened fire indiscriminately at a workers' camp of an infrastructure company in the Gagangir area of the Ganderbal district.

In this Gagangir attack, seven individuals were killed, including six non-local civilian workers and a local doctor.

One of the terrorists responsible for the Gagangir attack was killed by security forces in a clash in the upper reaches of Dachigam National Park in Srinagar last month.
