In a statement to the media, the Odisha unit BJP president Manmohan Samal mentioned on Thursday that J.P. Nadda is expected to land at the Bhubaneswar airport around 1 p.m. on April 11.
Following his arrival, J.P. Nadda will proceed to Cuttack to officially launch the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in the state during a significant event at the Bali Jatra Ground on Friday afternoon.
Present at the launch ceremony in Cuttack will be Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, along with other prominent leaders.
According to Samal, approximately 3.5 crore residents of Odisha will benefit from the implementation of AB-PMJAY in the state.
He added that citizens will have access to medical services at 29,000 empaneled hospitals nationwide.
Samal highlighted that under the previous administration, medical treatment was available at only 978 empaneled hospitals, a number that will increase to 29,000 with the launch of AB-PMJAY in Odisha.
Both residents within the state and those living outside will now receive free advanced treatment at these 29,000 hospitals across the country.
Furthermore, senior citizens aged 70 and above, regardless of their socio-economic background, will enjoy all benefits under the Ayushman Vay Vandana scheme.
It is noteworthy that the state government has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the union government to integrate AB-PMJAY with the state’s Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY).
Samal informed the media that the Union Health Minister will also inaugurate the new building of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics in Cuttack.
J.P. Nadda is also scheduled to visit the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology and AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
