Hyderabad, Jan 31 (NationPress) Breaking his long silence, former Telangana chief minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) on Friday declared he would ‘hit hard’ at the Congress government.
Claiming that the Congress government is facing significant public dissatisfaction within just a year of its governance, the BRS chief announced a public meeting in February to spotlight the government’s failures.
“I am observing this government seriously and silently. If I strike, it won’t be mild. It’s my tendency to hit hard,” KCR conveyed during a gathering with party members at his farmhouse in Gajwel.
The former chief minister criticized the government for failing to deliver on its electoral promises.
KCR noted that public anger towards Congress is so intense that it could lead to violence in the streets. “I have witnessed many administrations but never one quite like this,” he remarked.
The BRS chief referenced a survey conducted by the ruling party indicating that 70 percent of the populace supports BRS.
While announcing the public meeting to showcase the government’s failures in February, he urged party members to attend in large numbers.
Addressing BRS leaders and supporters from Zahirabad constituency, the BRS president pointed out that some individuals were driven by greed and voted for Congress, swayed by false promises.
He vehemently criticized the government for deceiving farmers, tribals, minorities, and various other groups.
KCR asserted that the state’s revenues have plummeted significantly, stating that during BRS's tenure, revenues consistently increased each year. The CAG report reveals a drop of Rs 13,000 crore in revenues.
The former chief minister cautioned that the future looks bleak, predicting that in four months, the state government may struggle to pay employee salaries.
KCR claimed that the real estate sector has suffered greatly, resulting in a substantial decrease in land values.
The BRS leader mentioned that students in residential schools are receiving poor quality food, prompting parents to withdraw their children.
Exuding confidence, the former chief minister stated that BRS will regain power. “Our victory is assured in the upcoming days. Only BRS will advocate for Telangana. No one else will,” he asserted, urging BRS members to prepare for direct action against the government.
